We are thrilled to announce that OCM has been appointed as the golf course architects for the redevelopment of Course #3 at Medinah Country Club.

Medinah has long been regarded as one of the great golf clubs of America with Course #3 highly rated as a tournament venue, playing host to many significant events over its long history including the 1945, 1979, 1990 US Opens, 1999 & 2006 US PGA and the 2012 Ryder Cup,

Course #3 is laid out over some terrific ground for golf. It’s a lovely sprawling landscape with some big-scale movement and many terrific green sites. Combined with stands of old oak’s and the holes around the Lake (Kadijah), it’s a beautiful canvas for us to get the chance to work with.

Many well known architects have been involved over the years including the original designer Tom Bendelow. One of the most exciting aspects of our research has been the discovery of some old aerial images from the early 1930’s, which revealed some really interesting holes and some bold examples of strategic bunkering.

We look forward to a long-term relationship with Medinah and working together to enhance the quality of design and reputation of the course for many years to come.
