Cranbourne is possibly Sam Berriman’s best solo work.

Built on land right on the geographic fringe of the sandbelt, it has some excellent holes, especially on the more undulating back nine, which is reminiscent of the more famous courses closer to the city.

Our history with Cranbourne goes back many years with Ashley Mead’s history at the club beginning in the early 1990’s when he worked on the ground staff and became the assistant superintendent.

More recently Mike Cocking has been the lead designer both with OCCM and OCM. In 2015 one of the most significant changes to the course was undertaken with the construction of a new par 3 14th hole. Aside from allowing the club to develop a small pocket of land on the edge of the property, the new hole improved the routing by shortening the walk between holes and has been popular addition to the layout.
